A Still Me gift card pays for one printed life story book, £49 including UK delivery. You get a printable card by email straight away. The family then gathers photos and memories online, checks a proof, and we post the finished, wipe-clean book.

For Christmas: the gift card arrives by email straight away, so it's ready to give on the day. If you'd rather give the finished book, order it and approve the proof by 10 December for delivery before Christmas.

How the gift card works

  1. You buy the card here. We email it to you straight away as a printable A5 card with your message and a code.
  2. They start the book by entering the code on our redeem page, with the address the book should go to.
  3. The family adds photos and memories online, from their phones. One shared link is all relatives need.
  4. They check a PDF proof. Nothing is printed until it's approved.
  5. We print and post the book, usually within 5 to 7 working days of approval, anywhere in the UK.

Is a life story book a good gift for someone with dementia?

For many families it is, because it's personal and it's something to share. A life story book gathers the people, places and moments that matter to someone, in their own words, with large photos and short captions. It can be a gentle conversation starter, and it helps carers and new staff get to know the person behind the diagnosis. How long is the gift card valid?

12 months from the day you buy it. The date is printed on the card.

Can it be refunded?

If the gift card hasn't been used, we'll refund it in full if you ask. Once it's been used to start a book, the book's own policy applies: a full refund any time before the proof is approved.

Can I just buy the book instead?

Yes. If you'll be making the book yourself, order the book directly and start straight away.
