Terms of sale
The agreement between you and Still Me when you order a book, in plain English.
Draft – under legal review. This page is written in plain English and is being checked by a lawyer before we take real orders. The promises in it are ones we already keep.

1. About us
Still Me. Contact us at [email protected].
2. Ordering and paying
A Still Me life story book costs £49 including delivery to a UK address. Extra copies of the same book cost £19 each. You pay when you order, through Stripe. Our contract starts when we email to confirm your order.
3. Making your book
- You and the relatives you invite choose the photos and words. Please make sure you have the right to use them, and permission to share photos of other living people.
- By ordering, you confirm you are making the book in the best interests of the person it is about, and that you'll involve them as much as they are able and wish to be.
- You give us permission to use your photos and words only to make, proof, print and deliver your book.
- We may refuse to print content that is unlawful, or that could cause harm or distress to others. If so, we'll tell you why.
4. Your proof
Before printing, we send you a PDF proof. Please check it carefully: names, dates, spellings, photos and captions. When you approve it, we print exactly what you approved, so we can't be responsible for mistakes in an approved proof. You can ask for changes and see a new proof before approving.
5. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel for a full refund at any time before you approve your proof. Just email us.
Because each book is personalised and made to your specification, the usual 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations doesn't apply once it has been made. That's why we let you cancel right up until you approve the proof.
If you don't finish your book, we'll remind you by email. Unpaid, inactive drafts are deleted after 90 days. If you've paid but not approved a proof after 90 days, we'll contact you before doing anything with your order.
6. Printing and delivery
We print your book after you approve the proof and post it to the UK address you give us. Books usually arrive within 5 to 7 working days of approval, but this is an estimate, not a guarantee; busy periods such as Christmas can be slower. For Christmas, we publish a cut-off date for approving your proof.
7. If something's wrong
If your book arrives damaged, misprinted or different from the proof you approved, tell us within 30 days with a photo and we'll reprint it free, or refund you if a reprint isn't possible. This doesn't affect your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Reprints and extra copies are only possible while we still hold your book's files. We delete them 30 days after your book is posted (see our privacy notice).
8. Gift cards
Gift cards have their own terms, shown when you buy one.
9. Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
A Still Me book is not a medical or care product and isn't a substitute for professional advice or a care plan.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there and keep the protections of your local law.
